@Akdk74,
On my end, I can open Fox News links on my Android device, however it is difficult to do so. It seems like I have to almost double tap in order to get the links to open. Note that if I long-press and select Open link in new tab or Open link in new tab in group, the link opens and loads right away.
Can you try testing again and try all manner of tapping on the links to see if we’re seeing the same behavior? Try double/triple tapping on a link and also try long-pressing to open the link in a new tab and see if those links load.
CCing @fanboynz to take a look here — not entirely clear what might be causing this behavior.
Thanks so much for your response. I did just try to open in a new tab but that didn’t work. Same issue. I did a quick double tap on the link, it opened the link but would not load the page. I also tried the triple tap. It was trying but (the line across the top had started then I got the message it couldn’t load the page). In the process, I’ve restarted my phone and cleared the cache. No luck. I did just now double tap on the link to Franklin Graham and it worked. But not on the red link above that.
Need information, what error message when opening foxnews?
I visited foxnews.com and various links off the home page. Also test video playback, also worked fine. Tested on a Galaxy Fold 5/Android 14.
No VPN, directly off my wifi. No network blocking on the router, shields up.
If there is a issue, what steps exactly do I need to do to repo the fault.
@Akdk74,
When you say you cleared the cache, did you clear the browser cache or did you clear the app cache on your Android system?
Either way, I want to ensure you cleared all site data for Fox News by visiting the site, clicking the “tune” icon (left side of the address bar), then Cookies and site data then click the Trash icon next to the data.
I started having the same exact issue with only links on Fox News from Samsung Internet right around the post election time. It seems very sus. The only way they’ll open is to long hold and open in new tab, which isn’t as convenient as a normal tap. What’s the deal?
