Forecastfox extension broken

Description of the issue:
Forecastfox (fix version) from here https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/forecastfox-fix-version/boljdehmejbffnfiiicckjhafabdepnd broke with the last update of Brave. It is also broken in the latest Beta.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
If the extension is not installed, do so from the above link.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
The forecastfox blue umbrella icon with a red exclamation mark through it is displayed.
Hovering over the icon produces only the “Forecastfox has access to this site” tool tip
Clicking on the icon displays a modal window with the message: “There was a problem connecting to the weather service.”

Expected result:
The extension icon should show current weather conditions including temperature.
Hovering should display current weather conditions and a summary forecast for each of the next 7 days in tabular form…
Clicking should display a graphical summary forecast, current conditions, and a regional radar map.

Reproduces how often:
Always.

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, Brave Version 1.21.73 Chromium: 89.0.4389.72 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
This extension functioned properly until the latest Brave update. It remains broken in the latest Brave Beta Version 1.22.49 Chromium: 89.0.4389.72 (Official Build) beta (64-bit)

The extension does still function properly on Chromium up through Version 91.0.4438.0 (Developer Build) (64-bit)

Fixed in 1.21.74. Not sure what changed.
