Cloudflare Community Tip - Fixing ERR TOO MANY REDIRECTS

ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

The site has nothing to do with Cloudflare.
Besides, it’s not the cause that I set up anything.
It’s simply that the site is not connected after the update.
The reason for using the previous version is written in the text.

The issue that you reported, is ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS.

The two links that I posted as a matter of interest, above, are to articles about, some reasons why the ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS error alert occurs.

The Brave Browser (Android) change - related to your issue - was probably in the Google Chromium engine:

https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/5930084

for Chromium upgrade 130.0.6723.58 that is within Brave Browser upgade 1.71.114 and the later upgrade 1.71.118 that you tried.

Chromium developers comments:

[M130] Revert “canvas: add NoAllocRedirect for canvas functions”

Original change’s description:

canvas: add NoAllocRedirect for canvas functions

This originally landed here:

https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/4247062

But there was a bug in v8 that led to the wrong thing happening.

The v8 bug has since been fixed.

Original cl description:

These functions may be called extensively, and don’t allocate.

What is “canvas?”

The HTML <canvas> element is used to draw graphics on a web page.

The HTML <canvas> element is only a container for graphics. You must use a script to actually draw the graphics.

Canvas has several methods for drawing paths, boxes, circles, text, and adding images.

Canvas is supported by all major browsers.

@Mattches

I don’t think this is a Brave issue. On my end on Android, I cannot visit this site in any browser — tested with Brave, Chrome, Kiwi, Edge and Firefox. I am getting a different error (DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN) but regardless I suspect this issue is caused by the site itself.

I typically use Brave Browser “Private Browsing Only” mode. Opened the link:

http://saucesource.dothome.co.kr

in a New Private window.

The webpage looks very basic:

“Q1” and “A1” - run thru deepl.com translator online:

Q1.Dr. Barista Bulletproof Coffee Cashwork Money Making Quiz Questions [Ending soon] Order explosion! October MD’s PICK! Diet management essentials Dr. Barista, 65% off & 1,063 won per pack special ends soon! SugarZERO Satisfaction100% Dr. Barista Bulletproof Coffee, no processing Real reviews! “Definitely less OO OO. It’s good to wake up with coffee in it! I recommend it as a quick breakfast alternative~” What is OOOO?

A1.The correct answer to the quiz is ‘food thoughts’. The other answers are: taste and aroma, carbohydrates, good nutrition, flavor of beans.

The remaining area of that webpage, has very similar posts, particularly: “Cashwork Money Making Quiz Questions”

I cannot tell if the website is legit.

I do not agree with Matthews.
I just installed different browsers on Google Play Store to test the above.

Chrome v130.0.6723.74
Edge v130.0.2849.57
Firefox v132.0

All of the above browsers had the website printed normally.
This problem only happens with Brave browser.

And the above website is my free web hosting site that is used for testing purposes.
The website is used for simple HTML output, PHP code testing, User-Agent, time display, check the output difference between PC and mobile and more.

I was testing it well through Brave browser, but the problem is that it suddenly doesn’t work after this update.

Ah — this is my bad. It’s because I was typing in https instead of http. Retrying with http at the front allows me to land on the site in all browsers including Brave:

Further, on Desktop, it displays the same way it does on mobile:

I have applied the update that came out on November 6th, 2024.
v1.71.123
As Mattches replied, the site was printed normally.
However, the same error still occurred in ‘Private’ mode.

I have the same problem, it only happens in the private window with several sites

Can we get some reply, this is happening to more and more websites each day?

Try:

Find every Brave Browser (Android) setting that attempts to upgrade from HTTP to HTTPS, and disable that or set it to “Standard”.

If i disable, then no change, if i set to strict i see site dont use https.
Like for above, it is only in incognito.
