Ecosia as default search engine on Android Brave

Hello, I would like to have possibility to choose Ecosia as default search engine for Brave browser on Android. Currently we can choose 5 search engines but not Ecosia.
It is important because Ecosia works 100% on renewable energy and spends about 80% of its profits to palnt trees. I recommend You to try it if you dhave not heard yet about it.
I know it is easy to change, it is just that nobody has thought about it yet.

Have a nice days.

Just visit Ecosia. Then you’ll see it listed under ā€œRecently visitedā€ > set as default.

Ohh…

Thanks!

I didn’t knew it was that easy! Welp… At least for me as a ā€˜techie’, if not ā€˜geek’, at the very least — I must say. I thought they needed to partner Ć  la Norway/Norwegian/Scandinavian aka North European OperaĀ® for AndroidĀ® and have had tried to get a response from EcosiaĀ® support which is gone to the dogs, dare I say( since they have had never responded to me with an actual answer).
Also, it would be prudent to add that you must not just browse/visit ā€˜ecosia.org’ on BraveĀ® for AndroidĀ®, but apparently make at least one search with successful results-page and keep it in your web-history at least as long as you don’t see and set it as your ā€œdefaultā€ search-engine for either ā€œStandardā€ or ā€œPrivacyā€ or both tabs, should you prefer.(
In fact, I just found out Ecosia®’s blog-post announcing the partnership in 2021 by applauding this venture as the topmost result of that random-search, but the instructions are limited to PC-only browsers.)

P.S. Believe It Or Not( nothing to do with a yet-another IP, don’t get me into Americana dubbed litigation-theatrics), this was the one-&-only I have been using OperaĀ® on my LineageOSĀ® after getting rid of ChromeĀ® for AndroidĀ®( yep, I’ve consciously made the decision to have GoogleĀ® Playā„¢ services packages 'cus of some key-functionalities and also, we are Family plan members on 2 of Wall Street-listed Alphabet™’s services, so they genuinely have very good, less incentive to exploit our personally-identifiable data that they keep collecting) like… Within the first-minute of getting the OS transition finished. Now, the only thing is… How to transition as much of my browsing-data from Android OperaĀ® to Android BraveĀ®( i.e. without using any PC whatsoever, which I have stopped using almost ever for any of my [non-work ]activities) as possible, if not all.(
As most of the data is certainly backed-up in my OperaĀ® account which I was misled into creating, significantly 'cus of my device-switches — in addition to the choice of getting to chose EcosiaĀ® later on.)
