Does Brave use Safari engine on Android OS?

I was talking to a web developer as I have some errors on Brave mobile. They are the same errors I get on Safari on my old and unsupported Mac OSX (Mojave). He said he thinks Brave on mobile uses safari engine so that may explain the issues, but if that’s the case, it must be using a much older version of Safari engine.

Does anyone know if Brave on Android uses Safari web engine?

Brave does not use Safari WebKit on Android but it does on iOS devices. Brave leverages the Chromium engine on Android as it does on the desktop version of the browser.
