To answer your question directly, any of the extensions mentioned above - or any other extension that performs these or similar tasks - are not needed for anything. However, its up to you how you’d like to configure your Brave experience to best suit your needs. The idea of offering anonymous/private browsing by default is that you’re protected from the get go and anything you choose to let through/expose (with respect to your data) is opt-in, rather than opt-out.
