Disallow keyboard shortcuts on specific websites

I use browser keyboard shortcuts all the time. For example, switching between tabs, or going to a specific tab. I can press (on mac) command-1 to go to tab #1, etc. When the current tab is, in this case, office365 spreadsheet, command-1 will change the font size of the currently selected cell.

This is so frustrating. How can I disable these “shortcut overrides” on specific sites? Is there some way to deny keyboard bindings like how I can selectively deny camera/mic/location?

@da16fd70d17,
Unfortunately no, there is no way to do this natively. There might be an extension that does this for you but when the focus is on a website and that site has some functionality that watches for specific keystrokes, the site is going to take priority.

That sucks. Users should have priority over things like that and be able to disable like I can with other things. Thanks for reply.
