Default Bookmark sorting

Brave needs several enhancements that should be fairly lightweight in the impact to the speed of the application.

  1. The ability to define a Default Bookmark sorting scheme. Not something you Open Bookmark Manager, etc. No one where the user sets that preference and it occurs wit each new bookmark added. This should be Alphebetically, By Date, by URL, etc. Both Ascending and descending. These choices, since they’re default would not have to be separately assigned, They would promulgate thoughtout the added sub-folders.
  2. Bookmark Manager should show various Columns (Parent Folder, Date Added, Native Bookmark Name if renamed). This would actually dovetail with item number One.
  3. Lastly, (this is the tough one) provide a search function for Bookmarks, either at the UI level or while in Bookmarks Manager, that allows custom date ranges or standard Query language (like Oracle, Base, Sybase…anything but Access).
  1. The ability to search for duplicate entries and either consolidate the duplicate(s), remove the duplicate(s), or leave as is.

I need to sort my bookmarks according to my preference, not according to Brave setting.
I have not been able to maintain my choice, it is clanged with new start up.
How do I maintain mine settings?

“By date” really should be mandatory. Or at least an UNDO if you accidentally hit the HIGHLY DESTRUCTIVE alphabetical sort feature.

The idea of an “undo” is an excellent feature. The date should show next to the Bookmark when you select that Bookmark Folder/Bookmark in the browser.

found a extension called “Sprucemarks” that works to sort bookmarks on brave. It’s not 100% perfect, but it’s a solid 90%
