Hi

Try this :

Create a new profile, name it TEST, activate dark mode, change default theme color and restart.
Open the TEST profile. If you see the dark mode and the new theme, then may be there is something corrupt in the old profile .
Delete TEST profile.

Hmm it still doesn’t appeare to work - the brave settings screen remains in dark mode but the search engine goes to light mode.

Try

  1. Disabling extensions.
  2. if Block fingerprinting is set to strict @ brave://settings/shields try the following as in image below @ brave://flags/

Thanks - the above worked, but now it doesn’t remember my choice to ‘open links in new tab’ and ‘set language’ choice.
