A bunch (>10) of providers from the Brave News list in the NTP Customize Dashboard were enabled in my list and not by me! All my original selections were still enabled. I had to go in and disable the ones I hadn’t added.
Some of the providers may have been new but several for sure were providers I already chose not to enable or that I disabled. I would prefer to only have providers I selected in my list and that my list not be changed by “the system”. 
If there is a setting or something outside the Customize Dashboard on the NTP I am unware of it. Please let me know if there is somewhere else I should be going to make sure this doesn’t happen again in the future.
