Custom New Tab not working

I’ve just upgraded to the latest Brave. I imported my settings from the previous one, enabled home button, and set a custom new tab. However, this didn’t do anything, and just brought me back to the built in new tab.

To reproduce it, I guess just try to change what the new tab goes to (google.com in my case), and it doesn’t work.

Expected result: For it to open google,com.

When does it happen: Every time.

The “Home page” refers to the page opened when you click the home button - the little house at the top left of your browser there. That page will open to the specified link. We currently are working on adding the option to set custom tabs.

That said, there are several extensions you can use that will provide this functionality. See this article for how to install extensions:
