I updated brave to version 1.46.154 last night and after the update, it is not opening. It just crashes as soon as i click on it to open it.
Please resolve this issue ASAP by providing the next update with a fix.
Brave Version: 1.46.154
Mobile Device details: Samsung Galaxy M01s, One UI Core 3.1, Android version 11
Additional Information: Tried clearing cache and data but still crashing. Please solve this.

brave://crashes and provide me with the Crash ID from the recent crashes?
Settings --> Privacy/Security --> Automatically send diagnostic reports

I wish i could provide you crash ID but I can’t do it because brave just doesn’t open after last update, i click on it and it crashes right away without even showing home page.
I tried clearing the cache but didn’t uninstall it or cleared the data because i don’t want to lose that data, it has all the login information, search history etc. of all the sites i usually visit. Is there any way to backup the data stored in brave so that i can restore it after reinstall?
Thank you guiding the sync steps but brave is just not opening, so I can’t add it to the sync chain. And i don’t want to lose my data. So, I’ll just wait for the next update and hope it gets fixed and then I’ll enable the sync feature.
My phone is not rooted and i have google backup but it is useful in case of factory data reset.
The data is most probably not corrupted because last year in june, i faced the same issue of brave crashing after the update and it was fixed in an update two days later and I’m hoping for the same this time. I can’t try the APK method as brave is updated to latest version and i won’t be able to find an APK of newer version. But still I’ll try to find it and I’ll let you know if it works. If it doesn’t work, I’ll just have to wait for update for few days or weeks and use chrome and bear it’s ads. Thanks a lot for all the assistance and prompt replies to email. Found a newer APK version of the application on internet 1.47.165 and it started working. I’ll update to the newer version when it become available on play store. Till then, I’ll use this version. Once again, thank you for all the assistance.

You can install the Beta or Nightly version of Brave directly from the PlayStore so you do not require to use an APK.
Let me know if that works.
Yes it worked and i have also setup the sync chain between brave and brave nightly.
