Since Manifest v3 comes soon and Brave’s Ad-Blocker feature is unaffected I’m currently trying it out. Sadly I just found out that the built in Ad-Blocker ignores cosmetic filters of custom filters.
I disabled uBlock Origin on 9gag.com and found some empty spaces between some posts. Thanks to uBlock Origin I found out that EasyList removes these spaces when using uBO. Now when I add EasyList as a custom list to Brave’s Ad-Blocker it still does not remove these empty spaces.
Are there any plans to use cosmetic filters from custom filter lists soon? Without that feature Brave’s Ad-Blocker just feels “okay” but not as good as uBO.
