My site provides information for technical authors. Frequently when they ask questions in a forum I want to point them to a specific part of a topic. Edge has a feature that I am missing. I is called Copy Link to Highlight. You select a string of text and then right click to select that feature. It adds a link to the clipboard that I can then post in one of Adobe’s forums. The user clicks that and goes straight to where I have the answer to their problem.
It is the only thing I miss and I am otherwise liking Brave very much.
Before posting I followed some links about this being withdrawn because of security concerns. Can that be reconsidered as I am not seeing the difference between a URL to a page and a URL to somewhere in the page, as far as security is concerned.
Before Chrome and Edge added this option, there was also an extension on the Google Chrome store called “Link to Text Fragment.” I checked, and it works on Brave.
