Cookies seems to be deleted after some time

Some websites I use on a regular basis (my bank; the search engine; …) store some configurations into cookies.
Anyhow, theses configurations desapear on a regular basis.
I guess the cookies are deleted “automatically”.

I didn’t find any information about this nor any parameter in brave.

Someone have any clue?

Thanks a million

@pierre2 most cookies are only valid for certain timeframes. Such as looking here at the cookies I have for Brave Community, it shows the one expires when I end this browsing session while the other will automatically expire in August 2025.

Each website kind of keys in what can cause the data contained in a cookie to expire. Sometimes if any device info changes, such as via Brave’s fingerprint randomization or someone using a VPN, the cookie will “expire” and require another login as a security precaution.

If you notice it disappearing every time you close your browser or something of the sort, then you could look at your Shields settings to make sure you don’t have Forget me when I close this site enabled. Also to double check things like brave://settings/clearBrowserData to make sure you have nothing chosen for On Exit

It would be strange to set a expiration time to cookies for site parameters?

I may check anyhow, that would not be the first time something is badely coded.

Could you remember me how to see the cookies in Brave? The way I used to know seems to have desapeared or I forgot it.

I have found it to do so when the memory is almost full on the computer.
