How long have you been using Brave, would you be willing to re-run the Brave installer?
used it for about 6 months now. started getting these weird effects last week or two, never before. did what you asking already - with no effect.
Can you try creating a new profile and seeing if you still have the screen issues?
Click on the menu icon in the top right corner > create a new profile.

Yes hardware acceleration (brave://settings/system). Glad you found the solution!
