This. I have been facing this same exact problem from so long, I guess a couple or more months. Today I finally thought I’m done and will google if this is known issue, and here I am. Plus, I don’t think it has to do something with the undo banner, as I get the tab again even after the undo banner disappears.
Just started noticing it a few weeks ago. Interesting that it happens to you even after the banner disappears–that’s frustrating! So far I’ve found it to consistently not happen if I wait for the banner to go away. Are you able to get them to close at all, ever?
Yes, but it’s mostly random. I again tested it by opening two tabs, searching something, then closing them both, waiting for the undo banner to disappear, and then restart brave. Both the tabs were back. After a couple of more retries I was able to close the tabs, without even waiting for undo banner to disappear. It’s really weird and annoying
Looks like this is not an issue with Brave but with all browsers. So far I’ve only confirmed it happening on the Pixel 6, so this may be an issue with Pixels, Pixel 6, Android, etc. But it’s pretty clear it’s not a Brave issue.
