Hello,
Our company is trying to use https://admin.google.com/ → Chrome Browser → Managed browser. Generate a token and sync with Microsoft Intune → Administrative template profile (custom: brave.admx) → The enrollment token of cloud policy on desktop “Enabled”.
This is to manage both Chrome and Brave in one policy from admin.google. Mostly to manage extensions/TOR/password storage. Specifically block all extensions and only allow specific ones we add ourselves.
The policy is both visible in brave://policy (Named: CloudManagementEnrollmentToken) and RegEdit, but I get the error “Cloud management controller initialization aborted as CBCM is not enabled. Please use the --enable-chrome-browser-cloud-management
command line flag to enable it if you are not using the official Google Chrome build.”
Not sure if this is actually the reason the policy is not working though.
Any ideas on how to make it work?
Just to mention it, this policy is working as intended on Chrome.
Edit: I am using the same token-ID for both Chrome and Brave.
Edit 2: After i added --enable-chrome-browser-cloud-management
to command line tag to Brave browser, brave://policy logs says this:
