Can't stay logged into Discord

Hello,

Description of the issue: For the last few days, apparently since the latest update, I’ve observed that Brave won’t let me stay logged into Discord’s web version anymore on Windows 10. Whenever I exit Discord, even if I just close the tab without closing Brave, I have to manually log back in if I open it again.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Log into Discord’s web version (discord.com) on Brave’s desktop version.
  2. Exit Discord without disconnecting by closing the tab or the browser.
  3. Go to discord.com again and click “Open Discord in your browser”.

Expected result: Clicking “Open Discord in your browser” should automatically open Discord without asking to manually log in again.

Brave Version: v1.71.114

Additional Information: The issue doesn’t occur in Brave’s mobile version. I’ve also run tests in Firefox and Edge without any issue, so the problem isn’t caused by Discord itself. The issue keeps occurring if I turn the shields off, and the option to forget me when I leave the website is turned off and always has been.

Not having this issue on my end — discord stays logged in as intended. Have you tried clearing cookies/site data for Discord? If not, please try doing so and test to see if the issue persists.

If it does, I would be interested to know whether or not this issue occurs in a new/fresh profile. Please go to Menu --> More tools --> Add profile, close your original profile, then login to Discord using the new profile and test to see if the issue occurs there.

Looks like clearing the cookies and data was enough to fix it, thank you very much.
