Cannot Sync Mobile to Desktop

On the mobile the instructions say there is an option for “I have a sync code”. This does not appear anyware in the Sync settings on the mobile.
For the desktop the instructions say there is a button to ‘scan sync code’ under the sync settings but this does not exist.
Neither mobile or desktop allow manual entry of sync code or to scan. Both just show the words or QR code but no other options.
I am using the latest version of Brave on my desktops and mobiles.

I’ve got the same problem. I’m using the latest version 1.79 of Brave on my iPhone 15 with iOS 18.5; iPad mini 7th generation with iPad OS 18.5 and HP notebook with Windows 11.
