@chrismax what happens when you try to open? If you have any error messages or anything it would be helpful to know what those are. In addition, can you advise if trying to disable Shields or anything has an impact?

A lot of people who experience issues on trying to connect to their local routers have barriers because it’s trying to connect to an HTTP and they have settings to be to HTTPS only or something. And as you shared in your link, it does indeed seem to be HTTP.

Hi Saoiray,

I get this error:

This site can’t be reached

http://192.168.1.254/ is unreachable.

ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE

So far i have disable extensions, reset settings, create new profiles but no luck.
The even more weird thing is that i am able to visit specific ip, e.g. 192.168.1.2

I had the same issue then finally found out that the application was set to not be able to access the local network in the macos privacy settings. Turning that back on, fixed it.

wow, i have spend so many days troubleshooting this!! Thank you @bmallen worked like a charm.

Please be more specific how to disable this. I have the same problem. Thanks!

apparently the last Brave upgrade or macos has disabled the local network access in macos.
