When I add more videos to my playlist and then try and listen to them I get “ There was a problem loading resource”
Anyone know how to fix this ?
Everything is up to date
@Joe100,
Can you please share a screenshot of the error as its displayed on your end? I do not see any open issues that sound like this at this time.
Additionally, can you please tell me the iOS device/iOS version you’re using when you see this error?
@Joe100,
Thank you for the screenshot.
It looks like other users are experiencing this issue too:

Hey, I’m facing the same issue.

We have an open issue for this for our developers to review:
Hello I have this same issue since about last month+. It is not working only in youtube. Solution that working for me: open youtube video what you want to download for offline. Then click on three dots in down right menu, then scroll down and select “request desktop site”. You can see now page displayed in desktop mode. Then click and hold finger on the video. Brave will offer you to save video to offline. Add it to offline, close webpage, open offline playlist and you will see video that is downloading. I using this method and its working now.
Can anyone here still encountering this please try going to Settings --> Playlist
and toggling the Web compatibility
option “on” and then testing again? Note that you will have to remove any entries from the Playlist then re-add them before they will work.
This fixed the issue for me. iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 18.1 Public beta
Thank you! Toggling on web compatibility worked for me Version 1.70 (131)
Thank you this fixed issue , my old playlist and new added videos play perfectly
Thank you @Mattches - this worked for me too!
You don’t need to re-add items to the playlist. Simply opening each item in a new tab is enough to get it working in the playlist again. Since re-adding multiple items to a playlist can be tricky, I just long-pressed on each video within the playlist and selected ‘Open in a New Tab’. Once an item played in the new tab, even for a second, it also then worked smoothly within the playlist feature.
One thing I noticed: before enabling Web compatibility
, there was a brief silence when I locked my iPhone before the music resumed. With Web compatibility
on, it now plays seamlessly, without that pause after locking. Unsure if it’s linked, but may help the team diagnose further!
EDIT: I spoke too soon - the brief pause before resuming when locking the phone is still there.
