I have been using Brave for a long time and absolutely love it. However, lately, I’ve been facing some frustrating issues.
Whenever I visit a website and click the upload button, the file picker window appears slightly lower on the screen than expected, even causing the confirmation button to be out of view.
Additionally, when I return to the browser window after using the file picker, the entire browser window moves down the screen in the same way. This forces me to manually move the window back up every time.
You can see the screenshot of the problem attached:
@siksok can you tell me what version of macOS you’re using when you see this? Additionally, does this issue occur on other websites or is it just pixelcut? On my end, I’m seeing the file picker appear in the appropriate spot for the site:
Can you try testing some other sites and confirm whether or not the behavior is the same there? Maybe test on other image uploading sites like https://imgur.com/upload and https://imgbb.com/
Thank you very much for your response. I’m using macOS Big Sur 11.7.0 on an older MacBook, so this is the latest OS I can install. The file picker issue occurs in other sites too.
The funny thing is, if I repeat the whole process, the browser window keeps moving down. In the attached image, you can see how my browser looks after I’ve uploaded an image four times without moving it back up
Going to reach out to the team about this but I suspect this is one of those unfortunate issues that would be fixed with a simple browser update, but given the old OS version/Brave version you’re using you may be stuck with it.
I would also like to add that my Brave browser is Version 1.68.141, Chromium: 127.0.6533.120 (Official Build) (x86_64). I did not experience this problem in earlier versions of Brave. Unfortunately, I can’t recall exactly when the issue began.
I tried the suggestion from the Chrome forums, and it worked like a charm! If anyone else has this problem, just hold down the ‘Shift’ key and resize the file picker window until it is completely visible, then confirm. The next time you try it, it will work perfectly without causing the problem. Thank you so much!
