Browser unresponsive


Description of the issue:
Brave is continually unresponsive.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit current version and build (updated today, 02 Mar 19)

Brave Browser: current version (downloaded and re-installed several times)

Earlier, every time I tried to use the browser, it was unresponsive. I wasn’t able to do anything. In order to troubleshoot this, I opened Google Chrome where I didn’t encounter the same issues. After a long time, I am now able to use the browser again with no issues yet (this is the longest period of time I’ve been able to use the browser since I first opened it this morning now 1500).

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Unable to access content without the browser freezing during the affected time period. Only screenshot would have shown “unresponsive” (or similar) at the top of the browser.

Expected result:
Normal operation of the browser, able to access websites without having the browser freeze every time.

Reproduces how often:
This is an issue which has occurred several times on several days.

Brave Version(about:brave):
Version 0.60.47 Chromium: 72.0.3626.119 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Reproducible on current live release (yes/no):
When I could, I checked that I was using the current release (I do this often) and I was. The version listed above is the one I was using today.

Additional Information:



I have the same issue and have since we moved to the Chromium base. On the latest Official build. When it’s locked up there is no unusual disk activity, memory usage or CPU usage. All other apps on the computer are responsive and normal. This is about to drive me away. I’ve reported it over and over.

Win 7, 64 bit.
