Brave wont remember to open mailto links

Description of the issue:
When i click a mailto link a dialog asks “allow x to open mailto in Mail” . Even when I check “remember this option” it asks me again. I checked Windows 10 default apps so it always opens Mail.

How can this issue be reproduced?

Expected result:
It shouldn’t ask me everytime and always open Windows Mail
