@TDK I think this a commercial from the content provider. Brave does not block commercials. The only way to not see commercials is to subscribe to any commercial free subscription service the provider may have.

Then this is something youtube will implement eventually. sad times.

Brave’s feature to Block ads are its selling point! what you mean it dont?!?!

That’s what i thought. i’m not too convinced that it’s something can’t be done.

Brave blocks many type ads, 3rd party ads, pop-up ads, overlaid ads, plus but they do not block commercial ads for copyrighted, paywalled content. Maybe this has changed. You could tag Brave support and ask for clarification.

Posting a link that may help differentiate between the types of ads Brave does and doesn’t block. Again, maybe this has changed. I am not aware of any changes but I haven’t been as active recently as in the past.

Looking into it, unsure if its blockable still or not

@fanboynz Please clarify what you mean when you say “unsure if its blockable still or not”. Do you mean, if possible, Brave will block ads (commercials) from providers of cable/network TV content accessible online? So basically, are you saying Brave will, or will try, to block ads from any content provider (no exceptions) even if the content is paywalled?

Bump up for visibility.
