Description of the issue: brave no longer opens with recent window update, either manually or via links as brave is set as default

When you click on a shortcut or task bar icon to open the browser, what happens exactly? Does the window open, then crash? Does the app act as though it is going to open but then never does? Are there any error messages?
nothing happens, at all. either from shortcut on task bar or straight from menu. only way to get brave to open again is to reboot computer. nothing happens at all, no error at all. just no action.

If you start the Windows task manager after closing the browser, do you see any Brave processes still running? If so, does closing them make any difference?
yes, i finally sorted that out. so about once a week i have to open task and close running programs. seems it is trying to update, even htough it is fully updated. just a mess, honestly.
