Description of the issue: Brave takes too long to launch websites every time I reopen the browser. However, once one website starts loading, it loads it quickly every time, until I close the browser again. I have tried clearing cookies, removing extensions, using guest mode/ alternate profiles, incognito. I checked on Edge, and it is loading websites just fine. Turning on/off hardware acceleration also did not help.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Open Brave browser.
Load any website.
Observe load time.
Close browser and repeat.
Expected result: The website should open in less time (~1-2s) compared to what it is taking now (~8-10s).

Version 1.78.94 Chromium: 136.0.7103.60 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I am currently running Windows 11 (23H2), i5-12600K, 32GB RAM, RTX 3070, 100 Mbps over Ethernet.
@rohdas95 thanks for providing such a thorough report. So far I’ve been unable to reproduce. Would you be willing to share a screen grab of this happening on a specific site? Just to confirm, no VPN running? Did this begin immediately after updating to the latest Brave version?
Hi. Thanks for the reply. I will take a screen record and share shortly. No I am not running any VPN. I did not follow the version updates of the browser, but I think it has been happening for the past few weeks now.
Edit: I just ran an experiment while recording the screen. On both WiFi and Ethernet from my router, I am observing this issue. However, when I connect to my mobile hotspot, it is loading fine. I will connect with the ISP and update here. Thanks.
Edit2: I tried changing the default DNS in the LAN section, but didn’t help. The mobile browser isn’t affected in any way though. Not sure what is the issue. I will try to flush the dns and see.
@rohdas95 can you please try opening a Guest window (Menu -->More tools --> Guest profile), close your original profile window, then test to see if you get the same performance when browsing?

Also same thing happening since since few updates ago. Initial start is long and even showing “page not responsive”, later like with old diesel car browser warms up and starts working, but “page not responsive” or just black screen keeps appearing time to time.
One more annoying thing happening is when new tab is just opened and address entered browser instead of opening page clears address field and nothing opens.
Tried with guest profile page opening time gets even longer.
Haven’t done any changes to shields or any other settings recently also no VPN and no extensions in use.
Just to update here, I am not observing this issue in Brave browser running on Ubuntu Linux. So router configuration is probably fine. Only Windows seems to be having this issue for me.
The video starts immediately for me (Brave 1.78.97 on Windows 10 Home 22H2).
Do you have anti-virus/malware installed and active? It can interrogate your web traffic which can slow it down to cause timeouts (same if you let it interrogate your e-mail traffic). Temporarily disable any 3rd-party anti-virus software, and retest.
I’m only using Windows Defender on Windows 10. No 3rd-party anti-virusware. Possible AV + Brave has a problem but AV+ otherWebBrowser does not.
