I tried reinstalling brave but since this time nothing is blocked:
I found Brave is not blocking any trackers or ads , who had a similar problem, but when I followed everything I could on the thread it did not seem to work.
Can anyone offer any help for me please?

hi there,
head over here (brave://settings/shields) and make sure its set on standard or aggressive (as your liking) as shown in the image.
this would help you mostly if not try these as well,
try clicking the brave icon on the top right and see if it is ‘ON’ on the site you are using. similarly use websites which show ads to test if the issue is in blocking ads or in the dashboard analytics place. if the ads are not getting blocked try using aggressive ad blocking as well.
