Brave Shields Do Not Work?

Brave Shields stopped working on my computer. It does not do anything whatsoever anymore.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. my computer had a BSOD when I opened Brave
  2. upon reboot, Brave Shields does not do anything anymore
  3. No ads are blocked.

As you can see, ads show up all over the page but Brave blocks nothing.

Expected result:
Brave always blocked these ads before. I do not know what happened.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.26.67 Chromium: 91.0.4472.114 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I have already tried using a private window and making a new profile. Both did not work.

Can you try clearing cache/cookies in brave://settings/clearBrowserData ?

Before the BSOD, youtube ads and such were being blocked correct?

@GreenBananaPorridge Yes. It worked before.

The problem seems to have fixed itself after I turned the computer off for the night and came back.
