Description of the issue:

Brave shields block on LinkedIn.com only 1-2 trackers (compared to previously 40+). Even selecting aggressive blocking only results in ~5 trackers.

This issue has been raised before, refer: Trackers on linkedin.com not blocked anymore

Brave version (check About Brave):

Version 1.56.14 Chromium: 115.0.5790.114 (Official Build) (arm64)

Well, you can click the 5 and see what Brave is logging in the Shields Panel, then use Devtools Ctrl+Shift+i or F12, and compare to that.

One thing Brave Adblocker doesn’t do is to log same exact blocked requested URL twice.
So it might be blocking more stuff, but if it is the same URL it won’t be logged.

Which is exactly the issue I see, uBlock keeps counting the same track URL over and over again, while Brave just blocks them but only logged it once as the expected behavior.

We only just re-implemented the block on linkedin. https://github.com/easylist/easylist/commit/6beabcb4f843d55b33ae6516a379a985ad3f9f93

Aggressive mode will block this in Brave.

Thanks for this. The reason I started looking into this is that I noticed how quickly my battery was draining when I had multiple LinkedIn tabs open, then I noticed the low tracking count in the shield. I’ve upped to aggressive now, so will see how it goes.
