Description of the issue:
Anytime a new instance of Brave is launched - from the terminal, from an email link, or any other program that supports web links - the new window/tab opens, but the syslog reports a segfault.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Start Brave as normal
- Click a link from an email
- Brave opens 2nd window, but system reports a coredump
Expected result:
No coredump should be reported
Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 0.68.132 Chromium: 76.0.3809.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)
UPDATE: still happening on version 0.68.140
Additional Information:
I can reproduce this on Linux Mint 19.2, Fedora 30, Ubuntu 18.04/19.04.
UPDATE: this is the command that’s causing the crash: exo-open --launch WebBrowser
UPDATE: it’s also crashing when running simply: brave-browser
