SOLVED - Brave crashes on startup (segfault error message)

Hi everyone, I’m a very satisfied user of Brave, and it never failed me yet until this morning.

The error :
When I click on any icon to run Brave, a white window appears then closes immediately
When running journalctl -xef, here’s my output :

My environment :

  • LUbuntu 20.04 as a virtual machine guest (ran with VirtualBox 6.1.8) on a Windows 10 1903 Host
  • Kernel : 5.4.0-40-generic
  • Brave browser version 1.11.97

sudo apt update && apt upgrade already done too. Any idea what might be the cause ?

Edit : Issue fixed at the 2nd reboot. Don’t know why !
