Brave removed all my passwords with no reason

Thanks I have a Proton Pass backup. But Brave just removed ALL my passwords a few minutes ago. Few minutes before I was using my passwords manager in Brave as usual, but suddenly all of them are gone.

Magic!

Does someone experiencing this issue?

Hello Community (note that issue is not related to Rewards) We have noticed a significant uptick in user reports concerning a random/unexplained loss of data in the browser. Based on these reports, it appears that the data in question can be anything stored locally/in the browser — from passwords, to bookmarks, to all browser profile data. I know what it happened:

I cleared my browsing data (as I do very often) here:

brave://settings/clearBrowserData

I noticed that the “Passwords and passkeys” is checked by default, which I really didn’t checked :-S

Maybe the bug is related to some update which makes that option selected by default. I’m sure I didn’t selected that.

Glad you were able to find out what happened. Please let us know if the issue occurs again while that box is not checked.
