Brave on Mac is noisy for no reason!

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open the Brave browser on a mac.
  2. Within 5-10 minutes you will hear random notification sounds and there is no way to turn them off. Mac notifications for brave browser are disabled and off.

**Expected result:
No sound should come from browser

**Brave Version( check About Brave):
Release Notes V1.25.70 (June 3, 2021)

Thank you for reaching out – not entirely sure what issue you’re seeing though. Are you on any specific site and/or do you have any extensions installed when you hear this?

Hi, Thanks for the reply. Believe it or not, i can have the browser closed (not force killed though) and I still get the notification. Good question about extensions. All i can tell you is that whatever extensions i had on chrome, that’s what i have in Brave. Chrome does not give me the same constant notification ding that Brave gives.

Can you please try disabling you extensions and testing to see if you get the same behavior?

Yep… will give that a shot and report back.

It was the gmail notifier extension/plug in that was chirping every few minutes. Thanks for the tip!!
