What are the plans and timeframe for Brave to be ported for apple silicon? I love brave, but I’m getting an apple silicon mac soon and apparently chromium doesn’t work in rosetta. So, when will brave have a universal binary for mac?
I have the same question. Really hoping I can continue to use Brave with my new M1 Macbook Air!
Google is launching a native version of Chrome for Apple’s Arm Macs on Wednesday 11/18.
I also would like to know when its available on Brave because its already available on chrome
Guys I’ve been using Brave on my MacBook Pro M1 base model running Big Sur 11.0.1 (20B29) without any issues working of course in rosetta.
It’s not as efficient as the new native safari but while loving brave its worth it
We’ve an open issue logged for this request. Thanks for your patience.
+1, and following closely for updates. The new Universal build of Chrome is much faster than Brave now (when launching). Browsing speed is about the same, but I’m guessing Brave’s ad-blocking is giving it an edge.
Any news on this subject ? You closed the thread which was correctly labeled as a “Feature Request” to focus on this one…
Brave is really slow, and I’m posting this message waiting for an ETA, while I will be moving onto Safari. I have to restart Brave few times a day, it’s unusable.
You must be patient, they have to recompile the whole project.
We knew this day was coming since June. I’m just asking for an ETA here…
+1 for this. While I myself am waiting to get a 16" MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon, I would like to be able to use Brave natively once I get this new machine.
Currently it’s set to 1.19.x release, if not changed.
Thanks for your patience!
Thank you very much. Can we found a roadmap or something like that somewhere? Just to estimate when it will be available?
And if we can help, don’t hesitate to ask (like when it’s available on Beta and you want feedbacks…)
