Description of the issue: Brave doesn’t sync passwords nor prompts to save a new one on my Windows laptop.
Brave version: 1.36.112
Type of devices currently running on the Sync chain in question: A Windows 10 laptop (which is affected), an Android 11 phone and a Windows 11 desktop.
Additional Information:
Syncing works with other data (bookmarks, preferences etc.), and passwords sync fine between my phone and desktop. When in brave://sync-internals I find this error message on the password column:
Error: DataTypeManagerImpl@components/sync/driver/data_type_manager_impl.cc:86, datatype error was encountered: Preexisting controller error on Sync startup
I have tried re-syncing and reinstalling.
