It seems like Brave is drastically reducing the amount of BAT paid out for ad views. That’s my perception at least. Do I need to submit a ticket or is this “the new normal”?
Three months in a row, I’ve received measly BAT for ad views: May 1, 2025 1.04396 BAT
$ 0.16 / Apr 1, 2025 1.19143 BAT $ 0.16 / Mar 7, 2025 1.09541 BAT$ 0.17.
This does not seem accurate when in the past I’ve received 6, 12, or 14 BAT in one month.
Those were 4 days ago and don’t include my work PC that I’m on 8-9 hours a day. Does that seem correct to other users are y’all getting the same sorts of payouts?
Are we truly putting out this little BAT for our attention? If so, let me know so I can stop participating. My time and effort is worth more than $0.16 for thirty days.
I thought it was a fluke at first, but now I’m genuinely wondering if something’s not counting my views correctly, or if the program is paying out that little by design.
Please let me know what you think I should do.
Briefly describe your issue: Extremely low BAT paid out for hundreds of ads on three or four devices
What Operating System and Brave version are you using? (Menu --> About Brave) Win 11 IoT LTSC 24H2 26100.3915, Brave 1.78.94; Work PC Win 11 Brave unknown (not at work atm); Android 13, Brave 1.77.101
Can show you current ads running in your region. The question becomes, are you really going to keep a tally for what ads you’ve been shown and their value
Hi.
I have the same problem, or the same question.
This month I started using Brave and Brave Rewards. I found it to be a very good browser option.
Then I found out about Brave Rewards and decided to join as well.
I put my uphold account on 5 devices. My computer, my wife’s computer, my cell phone, her cell phone and on my brother’s computer.
They don’t care about the cryptocurrency issue, so they are fine with me taking the rewards.
I said to myself: If this can bring you “money” let’s do it right.
To my surprise that just today they paid me the reward for the 1000+ ads viewed between all devices.
The reward: 0.7333 BAT = 0.09 €.
It doesn’t even give me enough for a piece of chewing gum.
Doing the conversion, I need about 2000 ads to get 1 BAT.
I guess there is some information I don’t know about this topic. And I’m going to keep using the browser. Although, in the end, it seems a complete nonsense this incentive.
BAT per ad has been the same for many years. Part of the big issue lately is that the price of BAT is down pretty significantly, so we’re see seeing as much of a dollar value.
Of course, part of the bigger dilemma is how Brave stopped paying for House Ads. This means if it’s advertising Brave products or services, we get 0.00 BAT. And of all the ads we see, this can be a pretty significant number. For example, screenshot of my ads history page just now:
We used to get paid for every single ad seen. Then back in November we stopped getting paid for Brave’s ads and only get paid for the ads Brave is paid to show. So of the 600-1,000 ads or so we might see in a month, we’re only going to be paid for a portion of those. Obviously this means less BAT.
Your math is wrong there. I mean, payouts seem to be starting out. Mine landed way earlier than normal. I had around 1,000 ads, give or take.
It all comes down to what ad campaigns are available in your area and what you’re seeing. I kind of touch on the math in the prior link, but circled back around on other posts like Low price reward - #2 by Saoiray as well if you want to take a look.
