Brave not blocking YouTube Ads as of Oct 15th 2024

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. YouTube ads are no longer being blocked.
  2. Play a video, you will see an ad playing before the content selected.
  3. I have seen three different instances of this over the last few minutes.

Expected result:
No ads playing on YouTube videos. Ads blocked.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.70.126 Chromium: 129.0.6668.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
Only just started doing this as of today (Oct 15th / 2024).
Fanboy’s Annoyances + uBO Annoyances - Version: 1.0.9992
Brave Ads Resources (CA) - Version: 1.0.104
Brave Ad Block Resources Library - Version: 1.0.100
(all up to date)

Can you also check and ensure that the Brave ad Block Updater is fully up to date (should be v1.0.8404 at the time of writing this)?

Thank you for confirming. I’ve reached out to one of our Shields engineers to take a look at this.

Would test clearing cookies/cache, re-login. Ensure shields is enabled on Youtube.

Youtube haven’t updated the ads just yet, and looking at the last 2 weeks, it seems fine so far. Failing that test on Brave Beta/Nightly.
