Brave GMail Notifications Disappear from Windows Action Center

Description of the issue:

When a new email notification is received from a GMail page, Windows displays a popup notification (and plays a sound) and shows a new notification icon in the Windows Action Center (bottom right icon). However, as soon as this popup is auto-dismissed (after a few seconds of showing), the notification is removed from the Windows Action Center (the icon is also cleared) and I have no way of knowing that I received a new email.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open a Brave Window and navigate to GMail.com and minimize the window.
  2. Send the GMail user an email.
  3. Note that a popup notification is displayed, the action center notification count is updated, but after the popup hides the action center also removes the new notification.

Expected result:

Notifications from Brave should remain in the Windows Action Center until cleared.

Additional Information:

I have tried changing every single Windows setting for Brave notifications and none of them prevent the GMail notification from being removed in the action center.
