Brave freezes randomly with no apperant pattern

Description of the issue:
I installed Brave a few days ago for the first time, and as soon as I tried to log into my Google account, it began to freeze on me. I decided to keep giving it a shot as I want to support this browser, but it randomly freezes on me all the time. And this was before installing any plugins.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Any time I launch the browser, about 20 seconds after launching, it freezes.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
I am constantly waiting to do anything, and a lot of the time, I bring up the Task Manager, kill th browser, and go back to Chrome. Which I am using now to submit this ticket because of how unstable Brave appears to be.

Expected result:
No more freezing.

Reproduces how often:
Every time I use the browser.

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Windows 10 & Brave 1.1.22

Additional Information:
Please help get this resolved so I can keep using Brave.

Can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue?

You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration

I tried that, and then restarted the browser. Still locked up. Any other suggestions?

To confirm, you don’t have any plugins/extensions installed in the browser? Additionally, have you tried clearing your browsing data/cache? If you were to launch a private browsing session, does the browser still freeze in the same way?
