Brave freezes on KDE Plasma

Description of the issue:
The whole window below the tab bars just freezes and this freezing will also occur randomly. Reading a page? Brave freezes. Type a new url and press enter? Brave freezes. Select text with cursor? Brave freezes. Writing a bug report on brave community? Brave freezes.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Install brave as instructed here: Installing Brave on Fedora 28+, CentOS/RHEL 8+
  2. Open any website. Brave will freeze while loading the website. Only way to come out of it to switch to another tab and then again switch back.
  3. Open any website with popups or asking for enabling notification. Brave will just freeze. Again need to switch between tabs to come out of freezing.

Expected result:
Everything would run normally without freezing.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Brave: 1.2.43 Chromium: 79.0.3945.130 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
I am on:
Fedora 31 KDE Plasma.
KDE Plasma version: 5.16.5
KDE Framework version: 5.61.0
Qt Version: 5.12.5
Kernel version:5.3.7-301.fc31.x86_64

Try loading up brave://flags in the browser, if you’re able to!

Then, set “Override software rendering list” to disabled.

It’s disabled but still no change. Brave still freezes.
