Description of the issue:
Brave randomly freezes on Kubuntu since 1.78 update
Freezes for approx. 20 - 200 seconds, does not depend on the opened site, happens even on the new tab.
During the freeze, brave process 100% CPU usage only on 1 core, other apps are normally usable (not a OS issue).
Happening since update to 1.78, last normally working version is 1.77.101.
Tried, none helped:
- Disabling GPU acceleration
- Disabling memory saver
- Disabling all extension
- Creating new profile
- Deleting all data under ~/.config/BraveSoftware
- Setting #ignore-gpu-blocklist to Enabled
Expected result:
Normal operation of the browser
