Brave Browser crashes when switching IME input method on Windows 11

Description of the issue:
When switching between French Azerty input and Japanese IME input on Windows 11 using the Alt+Shift shortcut, there’s a random chance that Brave may crash and suddenly close. This does not seem to happen with any other program on my computer.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Add japanese IME input to Windows by installing the japanese language pack
  2. Add French input method to Windows by installing the french language pack (this issue may also happen with other input methods, it’s just my current setup, I don’t know about others)
  3. Set the japanese IME mode to legacy in the IME settings (that’s my current configuration for it to work properly with azerty keyboards)
  4. browse the web on brave and sometimes switch between French and Japanese
  5. There is a likelyhood of brave crashing

Expected result:
Brave shouldn’t crash
