Brave browser 1.4.2, Android, cannot access brave rewards

Can anyone here confirm for me whether or not they’re seeing this same issue on version 1.5.120 (which is the most recent update to the mobile browser)?

While looking for a solution for this issue: Unable to claim rewards on Android I stumbled upon this thread and I believe I’ve got something similar / connected to the SafetyNet checks.

I was able to install and activate Rewards on this phone; I got quite some ads and collected around 15 BATs but now I can’t claim them. I just checked with the SafetyNetTest app and it fails!

So, I really believe there’s still some bug in correctly discovering availability of SafetyNet… I obviously shouldn’t have been able to activate Rewards I guess, right?

I have the same problem, but directly when I touch to get the rewards this message appears. I do not know what to do

This is the version I have, 1.5.120. I finally see a claim button. I am scared to click it, as my gut tells me there will be very little BAT.
Here’s what it was showing earlier in the day.

Here is what it is showing now.

clicking Claim makes this wheel spin, then back to “Claim”

I have the triangle rewards button now, but I still can’t access the rewards site.

Can confirm i’m getting the same chrome://rewards “This site can’t b e reached” error. Samsung Galaxy s9+

@TheRealQubix,
Thank you for pinging me here.
For anyone experiencing this issue, can you tell me:

  • The type of device you’re using
  • The Brave version you have installed (should be 1.5.120, which is the most up to date version)
  • Whether or not your device is rooted
  • Whether or not your device has tested and/or passed the Safteynet check
  • device: galaxy S5, LineageOS 16.1
  • Brave version: 1.5.130
  • Rooted: yes, via magisk
  • Safteynet pass: yes

As i previously said it got partially fixed on 1.5.120, bat icon is visible and its disable option on brave definitions is also there. But i cant access chrome://rewards and it seems the bat amount is wrong and not being synched across devices. Also the “include in auto contribution” is checked by default in every site i visit, does that mean its giving out my bat to all supported sites?

I have a Droid Turbo II. My menu does show me that I am collecting BAT. When I tap the triangle it takes just a few seconds to show me my accumulated amount. I would like to sync this to have the BAT sent to my Uphold account like Brave does with my two other computer browsers but this one does not have the ability to do that for some reason. They just keep accumulating. What am I missing?

Hello community,
Same problem here.
Custom ROM, rooted but passed in the SafetyNet test.
Also using the latest Brave version.

Best wishes to you all,

Ok, so now with the latest version of today it seems that I cannot use Brave Rewards on the following devices anymore:

  • Samsung S5 mini phone
  • Google Nexus tablet (2012)
  • Ulefone Gemini phone

All un-rooted with stock OS from the vendors – in the process of testing, using etc. I lost 15 BAT because I now couldn’t claim them although I was able to collect them :frowning:

Same issue on 1.5.131

-Pixel 3 / GrapheneOS - does not have Google Play Services installed in OS
-Brave 1.5.131
-Not Rooted
-Fail Safetynet Check

Cannot claim rewards. Brave crashes. I believe that I have 9 months of unclaimed rewards.
I originally could not get brave rewards to even show up. I sideloaded a previous Verified version from github then updated. That may help others on this post also

I have the same issue. Here is my hardware & software:

  • Oneplus 5T running OxygenOS 10.0.0 (Android 10)
  • Brave browser version 1.9.79
  • Device is Rooted using Magisk
  • Device passes SafetyNet checks

I can finally access my BAT ad rewards. The triangle is present in the URL bar, to the right of the lion icon. Clicking the triangle gets me to the “Your Wallet” view with my BAT listed.

I have access for a few versions back now, but I am currently on 1.9.80 and it is working
