Brave Background Process Draining my Battery

Hi!

I have a laptop with windows 10 and usually have more than 30 tabs opened in Brave browser. When I go to to the “Battery Use Per App” windows configuration, Brave shows a 38% battery consumption. 18% in use and 20% in Background.

I turned off the switch that reads Continue running background apps when Brave is closed. I also stopped the BraveUpdate service but, the results are the same.

How can brave consume more resources in the background than when in use?
How can I stop Brave from using those ridiculous background resources?
Is there a way to completely stop all Brave’s Background processes at will?

After you turned these options off did you reboot the PC? You may need to do that to stop certain Brave programs running as a service. Just a guess.

I did, and it’s still the same.
