Brave autocompletes URLs instead of searching

Description of Issue: When certain keywords are entered into the search bar, Brave automatically loads a previously visited website instead of displaying search results related to the keyword. It appears that when the slider “Show autocomplete in address bar” is toggled off, the autocomplete feature is actually still on and automatically loads the first result without notifying the user. Is this a bug or is there a way to turn it off and have the search bar never load websites except when full domains are entered?

Hi,

Thanks for the response. I have now cleared my cache and cookies and this behavior is still happening.
