Description of the issue:
When I log into a WordPress website backend to design or make changes to a page, all I get is a blank white page. Click the refresh button, and the page comes up on the screen.
How can this issue be reproduced?
If you have the latest version of Breave Version 156.20 Chromium: 115.0.5790.171 Official Build 64-bit
Open the backend of a WordPress site, log in and then go to any page or post. You will get a white screen.
Press the refresh button, and then you will see the page and it’s contents. We are using Gutenberg to design the sites.
Expected result:
The page just shows up after logging in, which is what it used to do about two weeks ago.
Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 156.20 Chromium: 115.0.5790.171 Official Build 64-bit
Additional Information:
None, I think I have covered all the details that are needed.
Thank you for your feedback. Not sure what the shields are, but it looks like all the Chromiom browsers are doing the same thing. So my question has changed, is it Chrome-based browsers, or is it something to do WordPress? Interesting.
As I have a lot of changes to do today on WordPress websites, I thought I would go through the list of plugins on our sites to see if I can answer the question.
It was PhastPress that was causing the problem. To stop the white screen, turn off the following item “Enable gzip compression on processed resources” the page loads very quickly, and all works again.
