Bought VPN on Google and can't connect it with my Brave Account

I use a smartphone from xiaomi with the Android Version 12.

I bought the Brave VPN+Firewall with the Google play service and now I can’t connect the subscription to my brave account. There is a error and this comes up:

I can’t reach anyone at brave and can’t use my 100€ subscription. Wtf.

I do apologize that you have encountered this. This is a known issue and the engineering team is still working on a resolution. In the meantime, please try resetting the configuration before attempting to link the subscription. This can help make a difference.

is there a fix for this now? otherwise iam just gonna cancel the subscription, whats the point if it doesnt work?

We have not been encountering this error for quite some time now. To confirm, are you not able to connect your Brave VPN on your device or are you not able to link your Brave VPN to your Brave account to share to another device?

  1. Is your Brave browser fully updated?
  2. What devices are you wanting to connect to Brave VPN?
