Bottom nav disappears when creating new tab

Description of the issue:

Let me start by saying - I FREAKING LOVE the desktop style tabbing in Brave iOS!!!

On to the issue: if I create a tab and close the keyboard on iOS - I lose my back button/tab switcher/share buttons from the bottom of the screen

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):

  1. Press + for new tab from new tab screen
  2. Tap anywhere on screen to remove keyboard

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

See the recording: https://community.brave.com/uploads/short-url/aHAEv5yYgR4jmh6u24sBu2magTG.MP4

Expected result:

I should be able to view my tabs via the switcher, not have to tap on another tab to then reach it

Reproduces how often:

Brave Version(See the About Brave page in Settings):

iOS Brave 1.8

Mobile Device details

iPhone XS Max

Android/iOS Version

iOS 12.2 (latest public beta)

Additional Information:

First of all thank you for being active and contributing to making Brave better

This looks like a bug and I made a ticket for it here https://github.com/brave/brave-ios/issues/947
Sync and regional adblock are a priority now so no promises this will get fixed in next release

If you like tabs check out this hidden gem:
When having 2+ tabs open try to swipe left/right on the bottom nav to navigate between tabs

Thanks Michal! I am a BIG fan so far and I look forward to seeing Brave become even better going forwards!!!

That’s brilliant, thank you - I will keep an eye on the issue! Completely understand that they are priorities - I would prefer to get Sync first too

:astonished: I DIDNT REALISE THAT WAS POSSIBLE! I seriously love the desktop style tabbing (
